9 Day Course
The Phlebotomy Technician Program prepares students with classroom and laboratory theories in various techniques to perform blood collection, labeling, and transporting specimens which are necessary for diagnosis and care of the patient. The program covers the healthcare setting, medical terminology, the overview of the human anatomy body, blood collection procedures; and special procedures, including infection control.
The objective of the this program is to educate and train students to perform blood collection. Students will perform live 40 sticks as part of the training. The Phlebotomist is in the diagnosis and care of a patient.
Employment opportunities include hospitals, private clinics, blood laboratories, blood banks, and nursing homes.
Upon completion, you will be eligible to sit for the National Exam to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
